CCRS Standard Overview

These standards have a strong emphasis on using TEXT EVIDENCE, CONSTRUCTING MODELS,and PRESENTING INFORMATION . This requires the students to:

• use full explanations
• teach content standards deeper
• breakdown paragraphs and understand text
• have a higher level vocabulary
• logically debate/discuss
• speak and listen
• understand more difficult expository text
• infer & analyze 
• work adeptly with technology: DEVELOP, USE, REFINE

Teachers must focus on RELEVANCE, RIGOR,  and INSTRUCTION. 

Focus strongly where the standards focus, think and link across grade levels, & ensure there is rigor for understanding.
