These standards have a strong emphasis on using TEXT EVIDENCE, CONSTRUCTING MODELS,and PRESENTING INFORMATION . This requires the students to:- use full explanations
- teach content standards deeper
- breakdown paragraphs and understand text
- have a higher level vocabulary
- logically debate/discuss
- speak and listen
- understand more difficult expository text
- infer & analyze
- work adeptly with technology: DEVELOP, USE, REFINE
Teachers must focus on RELEVANCE, RIGOR, and INSTRUCTION.
Focus strongly where the standards focus, think and link across grade levels, & ensure there is rigor for understanding.
